The center is located in Lepenica, municipality of Kiseljak, and represents Lidl’s largest investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina to date. With a total value exceeding 100 million euros, this significant investment will contribute long-term benefits to the local community by creating over 200 jobs.
The project covers a land area of 250,000 m², with the warehouse capacity of 60,000 m². The warehouse will be constructed according to the latest technological standards, designed for efficient large-scale operations, and characterized by the use of specialized machinery, automation systems, and logistical equipment aimed at optimizing operations.
During the ceremonial commencement of construction, the general manager of Lidl Bosnia and Herzegovina, Toljan Papajorgji, shared the company’s vision and ambitions for this project. He emphasized that the new logistics center will serve as a crucial step for Lidl’s entry into the Bosnian market, enabling the company to apply the extensive experience gained on a global level.
“Dedicated work and collaboration over the past months have paved the way for us to celebrate this significant milestone together,” said Papajorgji.
“Today, we proudly present our largest investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he added.

Strong support from the local community and authorities allows Lidl to not only enhance its logistical capacities through this project but also significantly contribute to the local economy by creating new jobs and promoting environmentally conscious practices. This center represents an important step towards sustainable operations, adopting advanced practices that could serve as a model for future projects in the country.
The ceremony was attended by the German Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Thomas Fitschen, Head of the Cooperation Sector at the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Antonella Di Sandri, Mayor of Kiseljak, Mladen Mišurić-Ramljak, along with numerous high-ranking officials from the political, business, and diplomatic sectors.
